People Were Offended By T-Shirts In 1995 Too

Apparently this is not the only generation that has been offended by a non-offensive shirt. Back in 1995 a Walmart in Florida pulled a t-shirt saying “Someday a woman will be PRESIDENT!” because it rubbed people the wrong way.

The retail giant said the shirt was “offensive” to some shoppers and apparently went against the chain’s “family values.” A news clip is making the rounds online now that Hillary Clinton is officially the Democratic nominee for president.

A psychologist whose specialty was children’s issues created the shirt and meant it as a way to boost little girls’ self-esteem. To this day, she doesn’t understand how the shirt is offensive.
