A story that a former lobbyist paid the bar tab for state Representative Al Pscholka and was pressured to buy alcohol for the wedding of former state Senator Dr. Roger Kahn’s daughter turns out to be just that – a story. Steve Marino is running for the state House in Macomb County and admitted to the “Detroit Free Press” he made up the story after a recording of him bragging about it was released by Michigan Democrats. Pscholka says he’s never met the guy, and it’s become par for the course in politics.

“I have people on social media on a daily basis who don’t tell the truth about me, who have made it their life’s work to do that, so I think what you have to do is pray for those people, you  forgive them, and you move on,” Pscholka told WSJM News.

Marino is a Republican. He made the remarks during coffee hours last year, and was secretly recorded by a Democrat. Pscholka says it’s clear the young man didn’t know he was being recorded, and says it seems it’s a case of someone getting in over their head and making a mistake.
