Set for this weekend is the fourth annual Berrien RESA Festival of Families. RESA Superintendent Kevin Ivers tells WSJM News the gathering at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds features information on all kinds of programs offered by schools around the county.
“It’s one stop shopping for parents and students who want to find out more about community opportunities within their school districts,” Ivers said. “There’s athletic opportunities, career and technical education resources, volunteer opportunities.”
There will also be activities for the kids and carnival games, and the first 500 kids in attendance will get a free lunch. Ivers says last year’s festival attracted more than 1,500 people, and he hopes to see the event grow. The Festival of Families will be at the fairgrounds on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s free to get in, and you can find out more at BerrienRESA.org.
