The Van Buren County United Way will collect food for local pantries this Saturday with its annual Stuff the Bus drive. The organization’s Vera Tanier-Sebree tells WSJM News they hold the event each fall to help out. A school bus from each district in the county will be stationed at a grocery store Saturday taking donations.
“This helps the food pantries have a little bit more to put in their winter baskets, and a little more food in the pantry to get by when families are off during Christmas, obviously, they need a little more help,” Tanier-Sebree said.
Shoppers who hit up the participating stores Saturday can pick up a few items to donate while they’re inside. Tanier-Sebree says the Stuff a Bus drive makes a big difference each year. Below is a list of the stores where you’ll be able to donate.
