It’s almost time for the third annual Southwest Michigan Mini Maker Fair. The event on Saturday below the bluff in St. Joseph will feature the work of all sorts of makers, says organizer Joe Rommel. He tells WSJM News it’s the “greatest show and tell on Earth.”

“Anybody that’s interested in technology or making, we have things from spinning wool to 3D printers,” Rommel said. “We’re going to have a drone show as well with first-person drone racing by professional pilots.”

Rommel tells us they’ll have plenty of First Robotics groups on hand, and new this year will be drone races. In fact, the St. Joe City Commission has given the fair permission to shut down the Whirlpool Centennial Fountain for a few hours to make room for it. The event is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m
