U.S. Senators Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow have announced nearly $10 million in grant money for Michigan airports. The Federal Aviation Administration awarded the funds Friday to the Michigan State Block Grant Program to support a variety of airport improvement projects in small airports across the state. The money could go into runway improvements to terminal expansions to equipment purchases. A total of $9.93 million has been awarded for the purpose. The block grant program covers 73 non-primary airports around the state.
