If you’re a dog owner, then you may want to bring your four legged friend to Fernwood Botanical Garden in Buchanan this weekend. Saturday brings Fernwood’s second annual Howl-o-ween. Fernwood’s Jordan Wahlstrom tells WSJM News it’s a special fall celebration for dogs.
“We will have local specialty organizations, as well as vendors available,” Wahlstrom said. “We’ll have guided hikes, we’ll have costume contests, and it should be a wonderful day. Last year, we had over 100 dogs.”
Normally, dogs aren’t allowed at Fernwood unless they’re service animals. So, Wahlstrom tells us Howl-o-ween is a special opportunity for pooches to explore Fernwood’s 100-plus acres of nature. The event is next Saturday from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.
