This weekend will bring a chance for anyone to scoop up some slightly-outdated Whirlpool appliances for big discounts. It’s time for the 2018 Whirlpool Fall Appliance Sale. The company’s Gokul Nair tells WSJM News the sale benefits the United Way of Southwest Michigan.
“We did the same sale in the spring, and we were able to generate about $160,000 in these two days for the community,” Nair said.
They’ll have more than 250 appliances up for grabs with 40% to 60% discounts this Saturday and Sunday. They include refrigerators, ovens, washers and dryers, and a whole heap of small appliances. Nair tells us the items come from Whirlpool warehouses filled with stuff from Maytag, Amana, KitchenAid and Whirlpool.
“It not only helps us in reducing our inventory costs, but also helps us in serving the community in a much better way,” Nair said.
The sale is this Saturday and Sunday at 150 Hilltop Road in St. Joseph. Saturday’s hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday’s hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For $100, you can have your appliance delivered to within 15 miles of the sale location. They’ll take cash and credit.
