Affordable housing can be difficult to come by in South Haven, and that’s something the city council is hoping to address. Mayor Scott Smith tells WSJM News they want everyone to be able to make a home in town.
“We want to make sure that we have reasonable, affordable housing options to keep families and young individuals that want to move to town,” Smith said. “We want to make sure that people who are working and want to be able to find a house stay here.”
The city council is working to set priorities and budget workshop sessions for review of Fiscal Year 2019-2020.
