Coming up on May 18 will be the next Whirlpool Appliance Sale to benefit the United Way of Southwest Michigan. Whirlpool Senior Manager of Global Operations Gokul Nair tells WSJM News they will sell new, discontinued, refurbished, and obsolete products that had been sitting in warehouses as part of the event.

“It offers more than 350 discounted Maytag, Amana, KitchenAid, and Whirlpool brands,” Nair said. “We’d have ovens, we’d have ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, washer, dyers, and all of these would be at significant savings.”

Nair says the Whirlpool Appliance Sale last spring generated more than $160,000 for the United Way of Southwest Michigan.

“The United Way does a great job to take care of a lot of social causes, and Whirlpool is just helping United Way get to its goal.”

Nair says the discounts on the products average about 40%, and everything is sold with a one year warranty. The sale will take place Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the next day, Sunday, May 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be held at the Benton Harbor Tech Center on North Riverview Drive in Benton Harbor. For $100, you can have whatever you buy delivered within 15 miles.
