The annual Mattawan Senior and Veterans Expo will be next week. State Senator Aric Nesbitt tells us it’s set for Monday at the Antwerp Township Activity Center in Mattawan from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. He says the event is held as a way for Van Buren County area state lawmakers to talk with seniors and veterans about their concerns, and also to inform them of the services available.
“We’ll help connect southwest Michigan seniors and veterans with organizations and businesses that can provide products and services that are important to them,” Nesbitt said. “We’re going to have nearly 100 exhibitors there. We’re going to have some free medical testing going on, some free sight testing.”
Nesbitt says this is the 15th year for the Mattawan Senior and Veterans Expo, and all seniors, veterans, and their loved ones are welcome to stop by. There will be free gift bags for the first 500 people, and free lunch is provided.
