There will be plenty of opportunities to volunteer at state parks around southwest Michigan this June. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says it’s holding volunteer stewardship days at both Warren Dunes State Park and Van Buren State Park. They’re intended to help stop the spread of invasive garlic mustard, a plant that can choke out native habitat. Volunteers will be at Warren Dunes State Park this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They’ll also be at Van Buren State Park at the and time. There will be additional stewardship days at Warren Dunes throughout June. You can find out more information right here.
