The Michigan Department of Transportation has issued its latest State Transportation Improvement Program, or STIP, plan. MDOT STIP Coordinator Mark Kloha tells WSJM News the document was compiled to outline major road projects in the coming years that will use federal funds.

“This document is a four year, federally-mandated planning document, and it includes road projects, bridge projects, and transit projects for the next four years,” Kloha said.

Kloha says you can take a look at the plan and see what state transportation officials consider priorities. MDOT has put the newest draft plan online, and wants public comment by August 15. Major highway projects that affect drivers from across Michigan are included. You can find the draft plan here.
