Berrien RESA is preparing for its next Festival of Families. RESA Superintendent Kevin Ivers tells WSJM News this is the seventh year for the event, intended to connect parents and kids with educational services in the area.

“This is a county-wide resource event opportunity for parents to network and learn about some agencies that are in the county that can help with their child, with child development or help parents with children with disabilities,” Ivers said.

Ivers says some parents may not know of the wide range of agencies around Berrien County that can help their kids. The festival, set for Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds in Berrien Springs, will feature a resource expo, a 5K run and walk, carnival games, and live performances from the recent winners from 98.3 the Coast’s Youth Talent Show. Registrations for the 5K run and walk are being taken now. There will also be free lunches for the first 500 kids. You can find out more at RESA’s website.
