Several thefts from parked vehicles are under investigation in Van Buren County. The sheriff’s department says the thefts occurred in the village of Bloomingdale in the early morning hours of Friday. In all, eight vehicles in the north end of the village were entered. They were unlocked, and police say valuables were taken from them. So far, police have identified no suspects. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department reminds all residents to lock their vehicles. Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to contact police.
