U2 have teamed up with composer A.R. Rahman for a one-off song called “Ahimsa,” in commemoration of their first-ever performance in India next month. The title is taken from the Sanskrit word for non-violence, according to a news release.

Rahman has become celebrated in world music circles for his updating of traditional Indian music with modern instruments and arrangements, and composed the music to 2009’s Slumdog Millionaire, which won him Academy Awards for best original score and best original song (“Jai Ho”).
