An online survey is being offered for the public to help review and update Michigan’s Top 10 in 10 strategic education plan. Michigan Department of Education spokesman Bill Disessa says the goal is to get the state ranked in the top 10 nationally within 10 years.

“It encompasses our priorities for overall improving education for public school children in Michigan. It talks about improving early literacy, nurturing whole child, that concept, and there’s all sorts of things built in to there,” says Disessa.

The plan has been in place since February 2016. Disessa says State Superintendent Dr. Michael Rice wants to review the plan and to make any necessary adjustments. The survey can be found here.
