The Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan is cancelling next week’s Speaker Series event. The Lake Michigan College Mendel Center was notified that former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull was needing to cancel his appearance due to the unfolding global situation surrounding coronavirus and related travel advisories. In turn, the Pre-Speaker Dinner & Discussion event the same evening of Wednesday, March 18. The Mendel Center is working to reschedule as soon as possible, and Economic Club members and ticket holders will be notified when more information is available. There is nothing ticket holders need to do in the meantime. Turnbull was Australia’s 29th prime minister and served from 2015 to 2018.
