Spectrum Health is advising the public about educational resources it’s made available regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Among other things, it’s posted materials online that include travel tips, videos, and other information on how to prevent the spread of the illness, and locally, it’s implemented healthy visitor restrictions to encourage people not to visit if they are feeling ill. Spectrum is encouraging community members and employees to practice good hand and respiratory hygiene. That means covering their coughs, cleaning frequently touched surfaces, and avoiding close contact with people who are sick. People should also avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth, and should stay home when they are sick. Also, the organization is offering free virtual COVID-19 screenings.
