The number of new coronavirus cases for Friday stands at 1,350, with the state now having 36,641 cases. A total of 3,085 deaths are linked to the pandemic, a rise of 108 from Thursday. In southwest Michigan, Berrien County is now over 200 cases at 210, an increase of 21, with the number of deaths remaining at 11. Cass County is up by two cases to 25 with two deaths, and Van Buren County’s number has fallen for the second straight day by one to 34 with two deaths. The statewide fatality rate from COVID-19 is 8%, with the youngest being five and the oldest at 107-years-old.
