Absentee Ballot Applications To Be Mailed To All Registered Voters For August, November

All registered voters in Michigan will receive an application to vote by mail in the August and November elections this year. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says doing that ensures no one has to choose between their health and their right to vote, even if things improve by then in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We wanted to ensure that regardless of what situation we may be in then, every citizen in our state felt confident that they could choose to vote by mail, and they have the right to do so,” said Benson.

Benson says they made that option available for the May election, and 99% of the voters took advantage of it.
