Cook Nuclear Plant Completely Offline

Indiana Michigan Power’s Cook Nuclear Plant is completely offline. Unit 2 tripped automatically at 12:26 a.m. Monday due to lowering water level in one of its four steam generators. An inspection found everything functioned normally after the trip and Unit 2 remains “safely shut down.” Unit 1 is offline for a planned refueling outage. There is no word on what caused the water level to drop.
