Harrison, Pitchford, Elliott announce reelection campaigns

Three Berrien County Commissioners have announced they’re seeking reelection this year.

Speaking to colleagues last week, Board Chair Mac Elliott said he’s giving it another go.

I am going to run again and look forward to working with all of you come January,” Elliott said. “Hopefully, we’ll all be sitting here. But I’m going to do it.”

Also announcing his reelection bid are Commissioners Bob Harrison and Chokwe Pitchford.

Harrison, the former Lake Michigan College President, says he’s “proud of the development going on in Berrien County, and I believe I added value and leadership to the Board of Commissioners over the last five years.”

Pitchford says much has been accomplished in his two years on the commission, and if re-elected, he looks forward to bringing a multi-billion dollar data center to Benton Township.

Harrison represents the Stevensville area on the county commission, while Elliott represents the Buchanan and Three Oaks areas and Pitchford represents the Benton Township area.
