Ben Affleck is heading back to rehab for the third time. The actor, 46, is seeking treatment for alcohol addiction. The move to enter a treatment facility came after his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, was photographed arriving at his home on Wednesday. The two were later seen leaving the house together. On Monday, the Justice League star was photographed receiving an alcohol delivery outside of his Brentwood, Calif. home. Affleck was seen outside of his house as he picked up a Pacifico beer-branded box filled with what appeared to be scotch whisky in a blue case and some other unidentifiable bottles. Current Miss America And Former Winners Demand Chairwoman Gretchen Carlson Resign Amid Bullying Accusations

tmp6742bb31-345a-413b-91e7-610bb72e5680-jpg

Nineteen former Misses America are calling on leaders of the Miss America organization to step down amid allegations from reigning Miss America, Cara Mund, that she was subject to bullying. Mund claimed in a letter to former pageant winners she had been bullied, manipulated and silenced by leaders within the organization since receiving the crown, which top officials have vehemently denied. Miss America chairwoman Gretchen Carlson said she was “surprised” and “saddened beyond words” by Mund’s accusations. She added that she has since reached out to Mund to discuss her concerns. Carlson previously hosted “The Real Story” and co-hosted “Fox and Friends.” She left Fox News in 2016, the same year she filed a sexual harassment suit against late Fox News CEO Roger Ailes. On Jan. 1 of this year, Carlson, a former Miss America winner herself, announced her new role as chairwoman after crude emails from the organization’s executives, some involving vulgar comments about the pageant’s previous winners, surfaced. The scandal led to the resignation of CEO Sam Haskell, COO and President Josh Randle and board chair Lynn Weidner.. ...Read Full Story

Prominent #MeToo Activist & Actress Asia Argento Paid Off Actor Jimmy Bennett After He Accused Her Of Sexual Assault

tmp5774664e-438e-4fe7-be7c-f8463c8812ce-jpg

The New York Times reported Sunday that months after publicly accusing Harvey Weinstein of rape, actress and filmmaker Asia Argento made a deal with a young actor who accused her of sexual assault. Argento was among the first women to accuse movie mogul Weinstein of sexual misconduct, and has been a leading figure in the #MeToo movement. The New York Times claimed it has lawyers’ documents showing that actor and musician Jimmy Bennett alleged Argento sexually assaulted him in 2013 when he was 17 and she was 37. Bennett said the assault took place at a hotel in California, where the age of consent is 18. Bennett played Argento’s son in the 2004 movie “The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things.” The Times reported they received the documents “through encrypted email by an unidentified party,” and that they included “a selfie dated May 9, 2013, of the two lying in bed.” “As part of the agreement, Mr. Bennett, who is now 22, gave the photograph and its copyright to Ms. Argento, now 42,” the story said. “Three people familiar with the case said the documents were authentic.” Bennett reportedly asked Argento for $3.5 million in damages, a month after she spoke out about Weinstein last October. Argento later arranged to pay Bennett $380,000; the first installment was made in April 2018.. ...Read Full Story

Netflix Cancels ‘The Break With Michelle Wolf’ And ‘The Joel McHale Show’

Netflix announced they have canceled The Break With Michelle Wolf and The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale; neither of the talk shows will make it to a second season. The company ended Chelsea Handler’s weekly talk show last October after two seasons. Chelsea initially aired three nights each week before moving to a once-weekly schedule. Each of The Break with Michelle Wolf’s 10 episodes debuted weekly. The show began streaming in May, not long after Wolf’s controversial and profile-raising performance as host of the 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner. McHale, the former longtime host of E’s The Soup (which his Netflix show closely resembled) also fell flat with his “The Joel McHale Show.”  Both cancelations are the result of underwhelming viewership numbers. In the talk show genre, Netflix still has Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. Netflix will attempt some new talk shows this year when it launches Norm Macdonald Has A Show, Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, and panel-style talk show The Fix starring Jimmy Carr, Katherine Ryan, and D.L. Aretha Frankin, known as the “Queen of Soul,” died on Thursday at the age of 76. Franklin died at her home in Detroit, her representative Gwendolyn Quinn confirmed. One of the most iconic musicians of the twentieth century, Franklin said last year that she planned to retire soon from touring. Franklin was born in 1942 in Memphis, Tenn., though her family eventually relocated to Detroit. When Franklin was 10, her mother died, and a number of women helped take care of Franklin and her siblings. Franklin recorded a gospel album when she was just 14; Franklin later moved to Atlantic Records, where the iconic hits “Respect,” written by Otis Redding climbed up charts in 1967. Over the following three years her hits would include “Chain of Fools”, “Natural Woman” and “Think.” Franklin won a total of 18 Grammy awards, and was later honored with a Grammys Legend Award in 1991 and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1994. In 2014, Franklin became the first woman to have her 100th hit on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart with “Rolling in the Deep (The Aretha Version)” and she was the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.. ...Read Full Story

In a new court filing, Johnny Depp alleges Amber Heard assaulted him during the time they were married, telling a different version of events from the night when Heard claims Depp threw an iPhone at her face. The court documents were filed by Depp as part of a libel case in the U.K., the actor’s most recent legal effort to dispute accusations that he was violent towards Heard. In the court papers, Depp claims Heard assaulted him after he arrived almost two hours late to his then-wife’s 30th birthday dinner on April 21, 2016. “These allegations are totally false.” said attorneys for Ms. Heard. Depp’s court filing also includes his version of events from the night of May 21, 2016, when Heard claimed Depp threw an iPhone at her face. The documents say Depp “tossed the phone on to the sofa and crossed the room away from Ms. Heard … The phone did not hit Ms. Heard on the face or elsewhere.” Heard filed for divorce against Depp on May 23, 2016 and four days later requested a temporary domestic violence restraining order against him, which a judge granted.  The couple were married in February 2015, and Heard filed for divorce after 15 months of marriage. The couple were officially divorced in January 2017.. ...Read Full Story
