Motley Crue release video to celebrate their 40th Anniversary

Motley Crue released a new video online to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first time that members of the band jammed together, leading to the creation of the group. Bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee, along with vocalist and guitarist Greg Leon, first jammed together on January 17, 1981. “Prog For Peart” Tribute Event for Neil Peart Announced

A special tribute concert for late Rush drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, titled “Prog For Peart,” has been announced. The event will feature 16 prog rock bands playing two shows that will benefit research to the brain cancer that took Peart’s life last year. Music producer Phil Spector dies in prison at 81

Phil Spector, who produced artists like the Beatles, George Harrison and the Ramones, died Saturday at age 81. The producer was serving a 19-to-life sentence for the 2003 murder of actress Lana Clarkson. He was convicted in 2009. Spector’s death was confirmed by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, who released a statement, saying, “California Health Care Facility inmate Phillip Spector was pronounced deceased of natural causes at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at an outside hospital,”  “His official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner in the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.”. ...Read Full Story

Danny Boyle to direct new six-episode Sex Pistols biopic series, Pistol

A brand-new Sex Pistols biopic directed by Danny Boyle has been picked up by FX Entertainment, to begin production on March 7. The six-episode limited series, simply title Pistol, is based on Steve Jones’ 2018 memoir Lonely Boy: Tales From A Sex Pistol.
