Slipknot Announce European 2019 Tour

Slipknot have announced they will be touring Europe next summer 2019. The news comes just after it was announced that the band will the Saturday night headliners of next year’s Download festival. Slipknot have also revealed that they’re hitting up many more festivals across mainland Europe including Rock Am Ring, Graspop and Resurrection Festival. Bring Me the Horizon have released a new song, titled “Wonderful Life,” which features Cradle of Filth frontman Dani Filth. Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Jonathan Davis & More Confirmed For New Year’s Ozzfest

Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and Body Count have all been confirmed for this year’s Ozzfest, which will be a special one-night-only New Year’s Eve celebration to ring in 2019. Ozzfest 2019 will take place on Monday, December 31 at The Forum in Los Angeles, featuring headliner Ozzy Osbourne and a line-up of some of the greatest names in rock which also include Jonathan Davis (of KORN) and Black Label Society, fronted by Osbourne’s guitarist Zakk Wylde, who will headline a second stage outside. Four other yet-to-be-announced bands will also play that stage. Tickets for Ozzfest 2018 go on sale Friday, October 26 at 10:00 A.M. PT. Chris Cornell Promo Video For New Collection Released

A new unboxing video was released to preview a new collection of Chris Cornell’s music, set to be released on November 16th. The project will contain tracks from Cornell’s career, including tracks from Soundgarden, Temple Of The Dog, Audioslave and those he performed as a solo artist. “Chris Cornell” will be available via multiple formats, including a single 17-track release and a 64-track limited-edition deluxe box set which contains the four discs from the deluxe edition, seven LPs and a DVD, and two previously-unissued videos. Babymetal Release Video For New Song “Starlight” As Band Member Yuimetal Leaves To Pursue Solo Career

Babymetal just released their video for “Starlight”, but now the Japanese pop-metal band has announced that it is saying goodbye to Yuimetal, who has chosen to leave the group to pursue a solo career. On the band’s official website, the following statement was posted, saying “Yuimetal had expressed her desire to return performing with the group in the following months after last December’s performance due health concerns. During her absence, both Su-metal and Moametal as well as the entire staff team had been preparing for her awaited return. However, Yuimetal came to a decision that she will not be performing at Babymetal World Tour 2018 in Japan and that she will no longer be a part of Babymetal. Ozzy Osbourne Announces Rescheduled Shows After Hand Surgery

Ozzy Osbourne announced he’s rescheduled the four tour dates he was forced to postpone due to an infection on his right hand. Osbourne ended up in the hospital, and has had surgery twice to fix the issues. Wife and manager Sharon Osbourne spoke about Ozzy’s condition last week on The Talk. “His hand hasn’t healed and it’s one of these things where they go, ‘No, tomorrow you’re going to be fine.’ But it hasn’t been fine and in fact he’s going into the hospital today and he’s going to have another procedure done on his hand. He feels he’s let down his audience but I hope that everyone understands.” New tour dates in Nevada and California have been officially announced and tickets from the canceled shows will be honored at the rescheduled concerts. Disturbed Announce 2019 ‘Evolution’ World Tour Dates

Disturbed’s seventh studio album, Evolution, arrives today, and the band also just announced their 2019 tour. The tour will include a North American leg with support from Three Days Grace and a European trek, which continue until mid-May. The North American tour begins on Jan. 9, with 27 stops in the United States and Canada. The band will then head to Europe between in April, touring over a dozen countries. Former “Ghost” Members’ Lawsuit Against Tobias Forge Is Dismissed

A lawsuit filed by four former members of GHOST against Tobias Forge has been dismissed by a Swedish court. Forge, who founded the group eight years ago, was sued by four ex-members in April 2017 who accused the singer of cheating them out of their rightful share of the profits from the band’s album releases and world tours. As a result of the lawsuit, Forge was forced to reveal his identity after years of performing in a mask as “Papa Emeritus.” The lawsuit claimed that a partnership agreement existed between Forge and the four former members, all of whom performed anonymously in the band as “Nameless Ghouls.” The trial lasted for six days, and on Wednesday a 108-page decision was released dismissing the case. All That Remains Guitarist Oli Herbert Dead At 44

Oli Herbert, a guitarist and original member of the rock group All That Remains, has died at 44, his band announced. A cause of death has not been revealed. “We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away,” reads a post shared to the All That Remains Facebook page. Herbert, the lead guitarist for All That Remains, founded the group with singer Phil Labonte in Springfield, Mass. in 1998. Perry Farrell Of Jane’s Addiction To Release “Kind Heaven” Solo Album In 2019

Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell will release his new solo album, Kind Heaven, in 2019. The singer makes the announcement after signing an exclusive worldwide deal with BMG. Kind Heaven is also the title of Farrell’s upcoming immersive theater experience in Las Vegas. The album will feature guest musicians such as Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, Dhani Harrison and many more. Godsmack announced that they’ve postponed their fall 2018 European tour, following the news that guitarist Tony Rombola’s son has died. A message from vocalist Sully Erna stated, “with my deepest regrets, and on behalf of our guitarist Tony and his wife Sue, I am personally writing this message to all of our fans worldwide to inform you that Tony and his family have suffered a loss that no parent should ever have to endure. Tony and Sue’s son Joe Fay passed away last week, unexpectedly, at the young age of 34. He was one of the kindest and most humble guys I had ever met. And most importantly, he was a FAN. Just like all of you. He literally lived the success of Godsmack through his dad. Iron Maiden To Release “The Studio Collection – Remastered” Digipak CDs

Iron Maiden have taken the sixteen albums they released between 1980 and 2015, and have remastered and re-released on vinyl and through iTunes. The metal legends announced that they will be issuing all the albums anew on Digipak CDs as “The Studio Collection – Remastered”. The new Digipak releases will be released chronologically over the next nine months in batches of four, starting on November 16th with the re-release of Iron Maiden, Killers, The Number of the Beast, and Piece of Mind.  Thereafter, Maiden will drop four-disc batches in February, April, and June of 2019. Overkill Finish Recording New Album, Anticipate February 2019 Release

Overkill just finished recording of their follow-up LP to last year’s The Grinding Wheel according to bassist D.D. Verni. Verni announced the news about the currently untitled album in an interview, saying the band expect it to be released in February 2019.  Verni also said that the band will be touring Europe beginning the first week of March, before heading back to the U.S. to tour. Lindsey Buckingham Reveals Reason For His Split From Fleetwood Mac

Lindsey Buckingham reveals the controversy surrounding Stevie Nicks and his exit from Fleetwood Mac earlier this year, in a new interview with Rolling Stone. According to Buckingham, Fleetwood Mac’s manager Irving Azoff reportedly contacted him in late January to advise him that Nicks had given the band an ultimatum: either he leaves or she will. Buckingham recalls Azoff saying “Stevie never wants to be on a stage with you again” and then listing off a series of issues Nicks had with Buckingham during a MusiCares benefit show honoring the group a few days earlier – including a disagreement over the group’s intro music, and him allegedly smirking during her speech at the charity event. After failed attempts to address the issues with both Nicks and drummer and founder Mick Fleetwood, Buckingham exited the band.  Nicks’ first public remarks about Buckingham stated the guitarist was holding up the group’s touring plans for a full year. Aerosmith’s Joe Perry Announces U.S. Solo Tour

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has announced that he will be embarking on a fall tour in the U.S., in support of his latest solo album, “Sweetzerland Manifesto.”  This is Perry’s first full studio record since his 2009 album “Have Guitar, Will Travel.” “Sweetzerland Manifesto” was produced by Perry and Bruce Witkin, with additional help from longtime Aerosmith associate Jack Douglas, who co-wrote and co-produced a number of tracks. Perry collaborates with guest vocalists on the album such as Robin Zander of Cheap Trick, David Johansen and Terry Reid, and others including Johnny Depp, Zak Starkey, and his own sons Tony and Roman Perry. Greta Van Fleet has announced their “March Of The Peaceful Army” world tour and initial headline dates for 2019. Megadeth Working On Next Album, Announce Launch Of KEGADETH Music And Beer Festival

MEGADETH leader Dave Mustaine said in an interview that the band is planning its own festival event “Kegadeth” to coincide with the release of their next album. 2019 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Nominees Include Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks And More

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced the nominations for 2019 and Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks, Janet Jackson, Rage Against the Machine and Radiohead are among the nominees. Def Leppard and Nicks earned their first-ever nominations, although Nicks was inducted in 1998 as a member of Fleetwood Mac. Also appearing on the ballot for the first time are Devo, John Prine, Roxy Music and Todd Rundgren. The other nominees are Kraftwerk, LL Cool J, the MC5, the Cure, Rufus & Chaka Kahn and the Zombies. Between now and Dec. 9 at 11:59 P.M. fans can go to the R&R Hall of Fame website once per day and make your selections. The top five vote-getters will be on a “fan’s ballot” and included alongside the results from others sent to “more than 1,000 artists, historians and members of the music industry” who make up the Hall’s voting body. Soundgarden Honors Chris Cornell At Statue Unveiling In Seattle

The late musician Chris Cornell was honored at the Seattle Museum of Pop Culture, which unveiled a life-size bronze statue of the late Soundgarden singer. The statute was commissioned by his widow, Vicky Cornell who attended with their children Lily, Toni and Christopher, as well as Cornell’s former bandmates Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd. Vicky Cornell said at the ceremony, “it’s a reflection of his light, a light that shone through his music and touched millions. A light that he used to illuminate our lives, and a light that will continue to inspire those in the future. Ozzy Osbourne Postpones Concert After Infection Forces Hand Surgery

Ozzy Osbourn had to undergo hand surgery as the result of an infection. Osbourn was forced to postpone his Saturday night concert on October 6th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California for the medical procedure. According to a press release, Osbourne is expected to remain at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles for a few days. A picture of Ozzy’s bandaged hand was posted on his Instagram page. The postponed show has been rescheduled for October 16th, and as of press time Osbourn is expected to return for his Tuesday concert on October 9th in Chula Vista, California.  Following this North American leg of his “No More Tours 2” trek, Osbourne will embark on a winter 2019 tour of Europe with support from fellow metal icons Judas Priest, which kicks off January 30th in Dublin, Ireland. . ...Read Full Story

Ex-Journey Singer Steve Perry Releases His First New Album In Over Two Decades, Called “Traces”

Former Journey singer Steve Perry has just released his first studio album in 24 years titled Traces. Traces is the follow-up to 1994’s For the Love of Strange Medicine and is co-produced alongside Thom Flowers.  Traces features nine original new tracks in addition to a cover of The Beatles’ “I Need You”.  Perry has stated the album was inspired by the death of his girlfriend in 2013: “I met someone and I fell in love with this person, and I lost this person to breast cancer four years ago. In the midst of that, I had written some songs, and before I met her I had sketched some. And so about a year ago, I started recording.”  Mark Oliver Everett of Eels encouraged Perry’s comeback, and he returned to the stage in 2014 after being absent for nearly 20 years. In 2017, he reunited with Journey for the band’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame though he opted against joining his former bandmates on stage. Jon Bon Jovi Announces Two ‘Runaway to Paradise’ Cruises In 2019

Jon Bon Jovi has announced that he will embark on the Runaway to Paradise cruises via the Norwegian Cruise line taking place in 2019. The first will take place from April 12-16 and go from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas on the Norwegian Jade. The second is a Mediterranean cruise on the Norwegian Pearl, traveling between Barcelona, Spain and Palma on the Spanish island of Majorca from Aug. 26-30. Both will contain performances by Jon Bon Jovi and his Kings of Suburbia band as well as other musical acts who have yet to be announced. “We are beyond excited to host Runaway to Paradise aboard Norwegian Jade and Pearl,” Andy Stuart, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line, said. Nirvana Reunion Is Possible At Foo Fighters’ Cal Jam Festival

Social media rumors are flying that a Nirvana reunion could take place at the Foo Fighters’ Cal Jam festival in San Bernardino, Calif., this weekend. The surviving members of the band are all on the bill – Dave Grohl and Pat Smear as Foo Fighters members, and Krist Novoselic as part of Giants in the Trees. Joan Jett, who fronted Nirvana at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2014, will also be present, as will Deer Tick singer John McAulay, who also took part in the induction aftershow party performance. A Cal Jam tweet announced that Jett’s new documentary, Bad Reputation, would be screened during the weekend and added, “Wish we were getting the real thing too.” The Foo Fighters retweeted with the comment, “What else could be have up our sleeves? Nancy Wilson Addresses The Possibility Of “Heart” Reunion Tour

Nancy Wilson says that “it’s looking really good for a HEART reunion tour” in 2019. During an appearance on the “Let There Be Talk” podcast with rock and roll comedian Dean Delray, Nancy revealed that she has since reconnected with her sister and discussions are underway about a possible comeback next year. “I’ve gotta say, it’s looking really good for a HEART reunion tour,” Nancy said, “There’s a big offer up there on the table. Me and Ann are talking, so we’ll keep talking.” During HEART’s 2016 tour, Nancy and Ann Wilson had a falling out when Ann’s husband, Dean Welter, was arrested for assaulting Nancy’s then-16-year-old twin sons in a backstage altercation at a gig near their hometown of Seattle. He pleaded guilty to two lesser assault charges to avoid jail time. Rammstein Share Details On New Album For Spring 2019 Release

German band RAMMSTEIN are hoping to release their new album in early 2019. Guitarist Paul Landers said: “Right now, it looks like this new record will be coming out next spring, and what we’ve been mainly doing is playing together in a circle, with all the guys in one room. Over the summer, Rammstein revealed that the new record was entering its “final phase” of production. In 2016 and 2017, RAMMSTEIN played a number of concerts where the band opened each show with a brand new song, presently only known as “Ramm 4”. Smashing Pumpkins Announce 30th Anniversary Tour Dates

Smashing Pumpkins will return to the road later this year for a series of dates celebrating the 30th anniversary of the band. Beginning in late November the band plan to set off on a tour of live shows throughout the Midwest and Southwest, starting in Madison, Wisconsin and ending in Phoenix, Arizona.
