Shinedown Reveals 2019 Tour With Papa Roach And Asking Alexandria

Shinedown has announced 2019 tour dates, with support from Papa Roach and Asking Alexandria.  The hard rock band just released a new album, “ATTENTION ATTENTION,” and have been touring North American with Godsmack and Like A Storm.  Shinedown’s 2019 tour will begin on Feb. 20 in Estero, Florida. The tour, dubbed part of the band’s ATTENTION ATTENTION World Tour, is slated to close out March 20 in Loveland, Colorado. Along the way, they’ll visit Dayton, Ft. Amy Winehouse’ Back To Black Focus Of New Documentary

A brand new documentary of the making of the late singer Amy Winehouse’s blockbuster album “Back To Black” is set to be released digitally and on DVD and Blu-Ray by Eagle Vision on November 2nd.  It will include an exclusive bonus feature on all formats from a recently unseen private performance from February 2008, in which Amy performs some highlights from Back To Black and a handful of covers. Amy Winehouse – Back to Black tells the real story of how Amy’s best-known and most celebrated body of work came into being. It features previously unseen footage of Amy, new interviews with producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, the musicians and others who worked on the album with her. Elton John Biopic ‘Rocketman’ Drops First Teaser Trailer

The first trailer for the Elton John biopic “Rocketman” was just released, The film is directed by Dexter Fletcher and starring Taron Egerton as Elton John. The trailer depicts Elton John in his more formative years with all the glamorous and opulent costumes from back then. The teaser also depicts the dark side of the 71-year-old star, as well as the trials and tribulations that come with being a famous artist. The teaser also provides a look at the psychedelic nature of the film, which reinforces that it is not a straightforward biopic. The Cranberries Share Unreleased Song “Íosa” Ahead Of Their 25th Anniversary Debut Album Re-Issue

The Cranberries have unveiled a previously unreleased demo, titled Íosa. The song was recorded by the band for their debut album “Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?” – but it never made on to the tracklist.  Released 25 years ago, the group was planning on re-issuing the album on it’s silver anniversary, before the untimely death of singer Dolores O’Roirdan in January.  However, the band is still continuing ahead with the special release, which contains more rarities, on October 19, as well as finalizing plans for their final studio album next year. “We will do this album and then that will be it,” guitarist Noel Hogan recently said in an interview. “There is no need to continue.”  Íosa, which translates as Jesus in Irish, is the band’s only recording in the language and takes influences from Catholocism and church singing. Jefferson Airplane Co-Founder Marty Balin Dead At 76

Marty Balin, singer for the ’60s psychedelic rock band Jefferson Airplane, has died, his publicist and family said in a statement. Balin was 76. The statement did not mention a cause of death for the co-founder of the band, and his wife, Susan Joy Balin, was by his side when he died. Balin’s songwriting credits for the Airplane included “It’s No Secret,” “Today,” “Comin’ Back To Me,” “Plastic Fantastic Lover,” “Share a Little Joke,” and “Volunteers.” Jefferson Airplane helped define the San Francisco music scene in the 1960s, debuting at the Matrix nightclub in 1965, about a year before its first album, “Jefferson Airplane Takes Off,” was released. The band performed at three of the legendary music festivals of the ’60s, including the Monterey Pop Festival, Woodstock and Altamont. Jefferson Airplane broke up in 1973, after which Kantner, Slick and Balin formed a new band, Jefferson Starship. That band had a string of hits in the 1970s including “Miracles” and “Count on Me.” In 1996 Jefferson Airplane was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Slipknot is currently in the studio right now with Ross Robinson with a new album planned for 2019, and on Wednesday the band posted on both Instagram and Facebook asking fans to apply for a “20th anniversary music video casting call.” Those interested in being in the shoot, which is scheduled for October 5th in L.A., are being asked to email their name and age to slipknot20th@gmail.com. The Eagles Announce Their 11th Compilation Set, ‘Legacy’

The Eagles announced the 11th compilation box set in their history. Legacy will be released on Nov. 2 and will feature all seven of their studio albums together for the first time, plus their three live albums along with two concert films and a Singles and B-Sides collection that includes 10 tracks. The press release announcing the new box set stated, “The Eagles created an indelible musical legacy over an extraordinary career that spans more than 40 years and includes six No. 1 albums, more than a dozen top 40 hits and six Grammy Awards. Anthrax’s ‘State Of Euphoria’ Expanded For 30th Anniversary Reissue

Anthrax broke the news that they will be releasing an expanded and remastered 30th anniversary edition of their 1988 album, “State Of Euphoria”, on October 5. The reissue of the New York thrash band’s fourth record – which reached No. 30 on the US Billboard 200 – will be presented in a 2CD package, with the first disc featuring the remastered album alongside all of the B-sides originally issued plus a 1989 live recording of the set’s second single, “Antisocial”, recorded live in London at the Hammersmith Odeon; billed as “Charlie’s Archives”, disc two takes listeners inside the band’s writing and rehearsal sessions to share insight into the writing, development and recording process of the album’s songs. The Rolling Stones Announce ‘Voodoo Lounge Uncut’ Archive Concert Film

The Rolling Stones anounced they will release Voodoo Lounge Uncut, a new and expanded version of their concert film from 1995. The release, due out November 16, contains the iconic band’s complete performance from November 25, 1994 at Miami’s Joe Robbie Stadium which featured guests appearances from Sheryl Crow, Robert Cray and Bo Diddley. The updated version “has been recut and restored from the original rushes and includes newly remixed and remastered audio [and] reinstates the ten tracks cut from the original video release in the 1990s back in their original running order here for the first time.” Voodoo Lounge Uncut will also feature “five tracks from an earlier show at Giants Stadium, New Jersey, that were not performed in Miami.” In total, the new version of the film contains 10 never-before-seen performances. 2018 “Louder than Life” Festival Canceled Due To Flooding And Excessive Rain

The “Louder Than Life” Festival was canceled Monday due to rain-related flooding at the venue, Champions Park in Louisville, Kentucky. According to a statement released by the event organizers, a full refund for all ticket, official hotel, and camping package purchases will be given. The festival which was supposed to run Friday through Sunday, but has been canceled by the company citing safety issues due to flooding. In a statement released on the website of the festival, the company said it came to a decision after inspecting the ground and infrastructure of the park. “It is with deep regret that we inform you that this weekend’s Louder Than Life festival has been canceled due to unsafe conditions resulting from ongoing rain and flooding at the festival site — Champions Park.” the statement said.“ The organizers added, “We will be back next year even bigger and better, and look forward to continuing our relationship with our incredible fans and this great city.”   Louder Than Life was to include headliners such as Nine Inch Nails, Alice In Chains and Godsmack, and in total was expected to have 51 bands playing in three stages. Slash With Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators Release New ‘Driving Rain’ Video

Slash and his bandmates Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators are portrayed as rag dolls in their new video for “Driving Rain.” The song appears on Living the Dream, which was released via Slash’s own label, Snakepit. 50th Anniversary Edition Of The Beatles’ “White Album” Announced

The 50th anniversary of The Beatles‘ classic 1968 self-titled double LP, commonly known as “The White Album,” will be celebrated with an expanded reissue on November 9th.  27 of the early ‘Esher’ demos and 50 session takes are included in the package, which was mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. Metallica just announced they are extending their “WorldWired” tour well into 2019 with a series of European stops for the summer, with support coming from Ghost and Norway’s Bokassa. “We promised we would be back… it’s the return of the European summer vacation,” exclaimed Metallica in an announcement on their website. Paul Simon Says “Goodbye” During Farewell Hometown Show

Paul Simon concluded his Homeward Bound: The Farewell Tour on Saturday, September 22nd by going home. The show took place in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, in Flushing, Queens, N.Y., just across the Grand Central Parkway from the neighborhood of Forest Hills, where he grew up. “It seems more like fate than coincidence that I should do the final show on this final tour at Flushing Meadows Corona Park,” Simon said, adding … “But this is less a goodbye than a farewell. Panic! at the Disco Remove Guitarist Following Misconduct Allegations

Panic! at the Disco fired guitarist/backing vocalist Kenny Harris for what they called “a personal matter” in an official statement. “Touring musician Kenny Harris will no longer be performing with us because of a personal matter,” they wrote in a tweet. The firing comes after misconduct allegations surfaced on Twitter Thursday (Sept. 20). Dickey Betts Of The Allman Brothers Band In “Critical But Stable” Condition After Fall

Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts is in “critical but stable” condition after slipping and cracking his head in Florida. Betts’ Twitter account says that all of his tour dates have been postponed. The Dickey Betts website says the singer-songwriter has been sedated since the accident Monday evening in Sarasota and also stated that Betts is scheduled to have surgery Friday to relieve swelling in the brain. Dickey’s wife, Donna Betts, said on the website that she and his children are by his side and that the family “appreciates all of your thoughts and prayers during this very trying time.” Last month Betts suffered a “mild stroke” and had to cancel upcoming tour dates.. ...Read Full Story

Imagine Dragons Drop “Zero” From ‘Ralph Breaks The Internet’

Imagine Dragons has released a new lyric video for their song “Zero,” which they wrote and performed for Disney’s second film in the Wreck-It Ralph franchise, Ralph Breaks the Internet. “Zero” will play during the ending credits of the movie, due in theaters Nov. 21. The video is filled with references to 21st century internet culture. In the movie Ralph Breaks the Internet, Ralph struggles with his evolving friendship with Wreck-It Ralph‘s Vanellope. Maroon 5 Set To Perform At 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show

According to Billboard, Maroon 5 will be headlining the Super Bowl LIII Halftime show. Billboard has also learned that while special guest appearances for the performance have not yet been finalized, Cardi B and Travis Scott are on the short list. In a statement, the NFL said, “It’s a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show. We are continuing to work with Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show.” Maroon 5’s recent single “Girls Like You” featuring Cardi B is currently No. 2 on the Hot 100. Paul McCartney Earns First No. 1 Album In Over 36 Years On Billboard 200 Chart With ‘Egypt Station’

Paul McCartney new studio effort, Egypt Station, has given him his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart in over 36 years. Released on Sept. 7, Egypt Station will debut at No. 1 on the Sept. 22-dated chart. Of Egypt Station’s 153,000 units, the majority were powered by traditional album sales: 147,000 copies sold. The remainder was comprised of SEA units (5,000) and TEA units (1,000). Egypt Station gives McCartney his eight No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and his first solo album to debut at No. 1. The Jimi Hendrix Experience is commemorating the 50th anniversary of its album Electric Ladyland by reissuing the project as part of a Deluxe Edition box set, to be released on November 9th. In addition to the original double album, the box set includes Electric Ladyland: The Early Takes, which contains demos and studio outtakes from the recording period. John Mellencamp Announces 2019 Tour And New Album

John Mellencamp will embark on a 2019 North American tour of ‘The John Mellencamp Show’ which will feature some of his classics plus some new material, set to coincide with Mellencamp’s new album release. Motley Crue may no longer be touring, but the band is still planning to make new with music. Vince Neil just revealed in a new tweet that he’s planning to return to the recording studio in a few weeks to record four brand new Motley Crue songs. Just weeks ago, Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx were spotted together in a studio with producer Bob Rock, with photos and videos showing Lee playing. Stone Temple Pilots To Co-Headline Fall 2018 North American Tour With Seether

Seether and Stone Temple Pilots will be hitting the road together this fall on a co-headlining tour.
