Megadeth Build Up Anticipation Of A New Album By Teasing Song

Megadeth have been hinting at a new album in 2019, and it looks like the band are already working on music. Dave Mustaine offered a video teasing them at work on a new song from the studio, featuring drummer Dirk Verbeuren. You can check out the clip below. The new album will be the band’s 16th and the follow-up to the Grammy-winning Dystopia. Verbeuren will also be making his first full album appearance for the group after taking over for Chris Adler. Eric Clapton Debuts Video For His Version Of ‘White Christmas’

Eric Clapton just released the video for his cover of holiday classic “White Christmas,” appearing on his latest album, Happy Xmas — his 24th studio LP of his career. The 14-track album also contains one original tune, “For Love on Christmas Day.”  Said Clapton: “I had in my head that these holiday songs could be done with a slight blues tinge, and I started to figure out how to play the blues lines in between the vocals. Ozzy Osbourne Unveils New 2019 Farewell Tour Dates With Megadeth

Bruce Springsteen Announces ‘Springsteen on Broadway’ Album

Bruce Springsteen announced that he will release an album from his award-winning Springsteen on Broadway show, due out on Dec. 14. The two-disc set coincides with the end of the show’s 236-performance run, as well as the premiere of his Netflix special, both of which take place that same weekend. The Netflix special is comprised of two performances recorded for private audiences back in July. Springsteen released a preview of the album with “Land of Hope and Dreams,” the second-to-last song in the show’s running order. Alice In Chains Release Music Video For ‘Never Fade’

Alice In Chains have described their new song “Never Fade” as a tribute to Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, and other musicians they have lost. Now they have released an official music video for the track. The band introduced their new album Rainier Fog back in May by releasing “The One You Know,” along with a video directed by Adam Mason. Now the band and Mason are furthering the video storyline with “Never Fade.” Vocalist/guitarist William DuVall said, “the full story will gradually be revealed. Slipknot Release Surprise New Song ‘All Out Life’

Slipknot surprised fans by premiering a new song, titled “All Out Life.” The track premiered yesterday on Apple Music,  and will appear on the band’s upcoming follow-up album to 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter.”  “.5: The Gray Chapter” was released following a six-year hiatus during, during which time their bassist Paul Gray died and drummer Joey Jordison was dismissed. Disturbed And Greta Van Fleet Both Debut In Top 5 On Billboard 200 Chart

Disturbed and Greta Van Fleet are proving that rock music can still top the charts. The two rock bands both debuted in the top five on the Billboard 200 chart this week. Greta Van Fleet’s debut studio album, “Anthem of the Peaceful Army,” entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 3 and sold 87,000 equivalent album units, 80,000 of which were traditional album sales. Disturbed earned the No. 4 spot on the Billboard 200 chart with their latest album, “Evolution,” pushing 71,000 units, 65,000 of which were traditional album sales. Disturbed’s previous five records all entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 1, starting with 2002’s “Believe” leading up to 2015’s “Immortalized;’ the only other bands that have achieve those numbers are Metallica and the Dave Matthews Band. Meanwhile, Greta Van Fleet are currently touring Europe to promote “Anthem of the Peaceful Army” before returning to the U.S. in December for a number of shows. Former Molly Hatchet Frontman Jimmy Farrar Passes Away At 68

Jimmy Farrar, who sang with Molly Hatchet from 1980-82, has died at age 68. The news was confirmed by the band’s bassist Tim Lindsey via Facebook, and a page specifically for fans of Molly Hatchet says Farrar passed away at on Monday of congestive heart failure, and kidney and liver failure. Farrar suffered three heart attacks in 2017, and had bypass surgery performed in Atlanta. Born in La Grange, Ga., Farrar met Rocky Manbrettie, a former roadie for Molly Hatchet who made sure Farrar’s demo tape got into the right hands, and Farrar was hired as the band’s lead singer, having just parted ways with former-singer Danny Joe Brown. Farrar performed with Molly Hatchet on their 1980’s platinum-selling Beatin’ the Odds, and followed up with the album Take No Prisoners a year later before splitting with the band, citing internal issues. After leaving Hatchet, Farrar sang with Predator, Section 8 and the Southern Rock All-Stars, later forming Gator Country which was comprised of former members of Molly Hatchet. . ...Read Full Story

Kiss’ 2019 ‘End of the Road’ World Tour Dates Revealed

KISS have now announced the dates for their  “End of the Road” world tour, that will kick off the first leg of the run in 2019. The tour will begin in Vancouver, British Columbia, taking place Jan. 31 at Rogers Place. The first leg of the “End of the Road” tour will take the band into mid-April. The group also announced a European trek starting in late May. KISS will be offering VIP experiences, and there will be KISS Army fan pre-sales. Lamb of God’s Mark Morton Says Project With Chester Bennington Will Be Released

According to a tweet from Lamb of God’s guitarist Mark Morton, an unreleased project between himself and the late Chester Bennington will be released.  A fan asked about the progress that was made on the project before Bennington’s passing, to which Morton responded, “Chester and I made some really cool music together that we were both SUPER stoked about. And you will hear it!” News of the collaboration initially surfaced in April of 2017 when Morton shared a picture of himself with Bennington with the caption, “Sounds KILLER too!” And Bennington tweeted out lyrics to a song they were working on via his Instagram account, though that post has since been deleted.  . ...Read Full Story

Clutch Vocalist Hospitalized After Fainting, Band Cancels NY Show

Vocalist Neil Fallon from the band Clutch released a statement revealing that he suddenly fainted on Saturday, October 27th and was hospitalized after being found. He claims to have later been diagnosed with “near-syncope.” The band canceled their New York show, which was scheduled for Saturday night since Fallon was medically advised to not perform, and as of press time it was unclear whether or not the show will be rescheduled. Clutch has been touring this Fall on the “Book Of Bad Decisions Tour” with supporting acts Evendust and Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown. Ronnie James Dio’s Autobiography Anticipated To Be Released In 2020

The longtime manager and widow of Ronnie James Dio, Wendy Dio, is working with legendary rock journalist Mick Wall on the long-awaited autobiography of Ronnie.  The book was 3/4 written before the singer’s death back in 2010, and was originally scheduled to be published several years ago via MTV Books. In an interview, Wendy Dio said “I’m working with Mick Wall, a journalist from England. And we’re working together. November and December, I’m bringing out… putting out more stuff. And it definitely will come out 2020.” Ronnie James Dio passed away of stomach cancer on May 16, 2010 at the age of 67. A few months after his death, MTV Books announced plans to release his memoir, which at the time was going to be called “Rainbow In The Dark: The Autobiography Of Ronnie James Dio”. Dio was renowned as one of the greatest and most influential vocalists in heavy metal history. The singer was recording and touring with ‘Heaven & Hell’ prior to his illness, when he was diagnosed with stomach cancer in late 2009. Vince Neil Announces The Completion Of Two New Mötley Crüe Songs

Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil has announced the completion of two songs for the film adaptation of the band’s biography. The biopic, called “The Dirt – Confessions Of The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band” has been picked up by Netflix. Neil took to Twitter to announce the completion of the songs, posting an image of himself and producer Bob Rock. “Me and Bob Rock finished 2 songs today! Great recording with him again,” the caption read. Mötley Crüe’s last studio album was 2008’s “Saints Of Los Angeles”, which was followed by their “Greatest Hits” compilation in 2009.  In 2015, the band completed “The Final Tour”, coming after performing a total of 164 shows in 72 markets, grossing over $100 million. Tool Reveals Summer 2019 European Tour Dates

Tool have announced a 2019 European tour, kicking off in June in Germany before wrapping up in Portugal in July. The Los Angeles band have not released a studio album since 2006’s ‘10,000 Days‘ and it’s long-awaited follow-up was initially expected to be out in 2017.  Tool will also appearing at Germany’s twin Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals, plus the Download Festival in both the UK and Spain. Mastodon To Kick Off 2019 With New Tour

Mastodon have announced dates for tour in early 2019 in the UK and Europe. The band will play 25 shows starting in Belfast on January 14 before wrapping up in Lisbon, Portugal on February 17. Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and Body Count have all been confirmed for this year’s Ozzfest, which will be a special one-night-only New Year’s Eve celebration to ring in 2019. Ozzfest 2019 will take place on Monday, December 31 at The Forum in Los Angeles, featuring headliner Ozzy Osbourne and a line-up of some of the greatest names in rock which also include Jonathan Davis (of KORN) and Black Label Society, fronted by Osbourne’s guitarist Zakk Wylde, who will headline a second stage outside. Babymetal Release Video For New Song “Starlight” As Band Member Yuimetal Leaves To Pursue Solo Career

Babymetal just released their video for “Starlight”, but now the Japanese pop-metal band has announced that it is saying goodbye to Yuimetal, who has chosen to leave the group to pursue a solo career. On the band’s official website, the following statement was posted, saying “Yuimetal had expressed her desire to return performing with the group in the following months after last December’s performance due health concerns. During her absence, both Su-metal and Moametal as well as the entire staff team had been preparing for her awaited return. However, Yuimetal came to a decision that she will not be performing at Babymetal World Tour 2018 in Japan and that she will no longer be a part of Babymetal. Ozzy Osbourne Announces Rescheduled Shows After Hand Surgery

Ozzy Osbourne announced he’s rescheduled the four tour dates he was forced to postpone due to an infection on his right hand. Osbourne ended up in the hospital, and has had surgery twice to fix the issues. Wife and manager Sharon Osbourne spoke about Ozzy’s condition last week on The Talk. “His hand hasn’t healed and it’s one of these things where they go, ‘No, tomorrow you’re going to be fine.’ But it hasn’t been fine and in fact he’s going into the hospital today and he’s going to have another procedure done on his hand. He feels he’s let down his audience but I hope that everyone understands.” New tour dates in Nevada and California have been officially announced and tickets from the canceled shows will be honored at the rescheduled concerts. Disturbed’s seventh studio album, Evolution, arrives today, and the band also just announced their 2019 tour. Former “Ghost” Members’ Lawsuit Against Tobias Forge Is Dismissed

A lawsuit filed by four former members of GHOST against Tobias Forge has been dismissed by a Swedish court. Forge, who founded the group eight years ago, was sued by four ex-members in April 2017 who accused the singer of cheating them out of their rightful share of the profits from the band’s album releases and world tours. As a result of the lawsuit, Forge was forced to reveal his identity after years of performing in a mask as “Papa Emeritus.” The lawsuit claimed that a partnership agreement existed between Forge and the four former members, all of whom performed anonymously in the band as “Nameless Ghouls.” The trial lasted for six days, and on Wednesday a 108-page decision was released dismissing the case.
