Bruce Springsteen Announces ‘Springsteen on Broadway’ Album

Bruce Springsteen announced that he will release an album from his award-winning Springsteen on Broadway show, due out on Dec. 14. The two-disc set coincides with the end of the show’s 236-performance run, as well as the premiere of his Netflix special, both of which take place that same weekend. The Netflix special is comprised of two performances recorded for private audiences back in July. Springsteen released a preview of the album with “Land of Hope and Dreams,” the second-to-last song in the show’s running order. He premiered the song during his 1999-2000 reunion tour with the E Street Band, and has since released an in-concert version of it on 2001’s Live in New York City and a studio take on 2012’s Wrecking Ball. You can pre-order the album here: link.. ...Read Full Story

Godsmack Announces Their Rescheduled European Tour

Godsmack recently had to postpone its fall European tour due to the unexpected death of the son of guitarist Tony Rombola. However the band has just announced plans for a rescheduled tour in 2019. The 20-date tour is set to kick off on February 27 in London. The band “Like A Storm” will be the supporting act on the tour. Alice In Chains Release Music Video For ‘Never Fade’

Alice In Chains have described their new song “Never Fade” as a tribute to Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, and other musicians they have lost. Now they have released an official music video for the track. The band introduced their new album Rainier Fog back in May by releasing “The One You Know,” along with a video directed by Adam Mason. Now the band and Mason are furthering the video storyline with “Never Fade.” Vocalist/guitarist William DuVall said, “the full story will gradually be revealed. Slipknot Release Surprise New Song ‘All Out Life’

Slipknot surprised fans by premiering a new song, titled “All Out Life.” The track premiered yesterday on Apple Music,  and will appear on the band’s upcoming follow-up album to 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter.”  “.5: The Gray Chapter” was released following a six-year hiatus during, during which time their bassist Paul Gray died and drummer Joey Jordison was dismissed. Dream Theater To Release New Album In February 2019

Keyboardist Jordan Rudess from the band Dream Theater revealed in a new interview that the band will drop a new album in February 2019. Disturbed And Greta Van Fleet Both Debut In Top 5 On Billboard 200 Chart

Disturbed and Greta Van Fleet are proving that rock music can still top the charts. The two rock bands both debuted in the top five on the Billboard 200 chart this week. Greta Van Fleet’s debut studio album, “Anthem of the Peaceful Army,” entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 3 and sold 87,000 equivalent album units, 80,000 of which were traditional album sales. Disturbed earned the No. 4 spot on the Billboard 200 chart with their latest album, “Evolution,” pushing 71,000 units, 65,000 of which were traditional album sales. Disturbed’s previous five records all entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 1, starting with 2002’s “Believe” leading up to 2015’s “Immortalized;’ the only other bands that have achieve those numbers are Metallica and the Dave Matthews Band. Meanwhile, Greta Van Fleet are currently touring Europe to promote “Anthem of the Peaceful Army” before returning to the U.S. in December for a number of shows. Former Molly Hatchet Frontman Jimmy Farrar Passes Away At 68

Jimmy Farrar, who sang with Molly Hatchet from 1980-82, has died at age 68. The news was confirmed by the band’s bassist Tim Lindsey via Facebook, and a page specifically for fans of Molly Hatchet says Farrar passed away at on Monday of congestive heart failure, and kidney and liver failure. Farrar suffered three heart attacks in 2017, and had bypass surgery performed in Atlanta. Born in La Grange, Ga., Farrar met Rocky Manbrettie, a former roadie for Molly Hatchet who made sure Farrar’s demo tape got into the right hands, and Farrar was hired as the band’s lead singer, having just parted ways with former-singer Danny Joe Brown. Farrar performed with Molly Hatchet on their 1980’s platinum-selling Beatin’ the Odds, and followed up with the album Take No Prisoners a year later before splitting with the band, citing internal issues. After leaving Hatchet, Farrar sang with Predator, Section 8 and the Southern Rock All-Stars, later forming Gator Country which was comprised of former members of Molly Hatchet. . ...Read Full Story

Kiss’ 2019 ‘End of the Road’ World Tour Dates Revealed

KISS have now announced the dates for their  “End of the Road” world tour, that will kick off the first leg of the run in 2019. The tour will begin in Vancouver, British Columbia, taking place Jan. 31 at Rogers Place. The first leg of the “End of the Road” tour will take the band into mid-April. The group also announced a European trek starting in late May. KISS will be offering VIP experiences, and there will be KISS Army fan pre-sales. Lamb of God’s Mark Morton Says Project With Chester Bennington Will Be Released

According to a tweet from Lamb of God’s guitarist Mark Morton, an unreleased project between himself and the late Chester Bennington will be released.  A fan asked about the progress that was made on the project before Bennington’s passing, to which Morton responded, “Chester and I made some really cool music together that we were both SUPER stoked about. And you will hear it!” News of the collaboration initially surfaced in April of 2017 when Morton shared a picture of himself with Bennington with the caption, “Sounds KILLER too!” And Bennington tweeted out lyrics to a song they were working on via his Instagram account, though that post has since been deleted.  . ...Read Full Story
