The Rolling Stones Announce ‘Voodoo Lounge Uncut’ Archive Concert Film

The Rolling Stones anounced they will release Voodoo Lounge Uncut, a new and expanded version of their concert film from 1995. The release, due out November 16, contains the iconic band’s complete performance from November 25, 1994 at Miami’s Joe Robbie Stadium which featured guests appearances from Sheryl Crow, Robert Cray and Bo Diddley. The updated version “has been recut and restored from the original rushes and includes newly remixed and remastered audio [and] reinstates the ten tracks cut from the original video release in the 1990s back in their original running order here for the first time.” Voodoo Lounge Uncut will also feature “five tracks from an earlier show at Giants Stadium, New Jersey, that were not performed in Miami.” In total, the new version of the film contains 10 never-before-seen performances. 2018 “Louder than Life” Festival Canceled Due To Flooding And Excessive Rain

The “Louder Than Life” Festival was canceled Monday due to rain-related flooding at the venue, Champions Park in Louisville, Kentucky. According to a statement released by the event organizers, a full refund for all ticket, official hotel, and camping package purchases will be given. The festival which was supposed to run Friday through Sunday, but has been canceled by the company citing safety issues due to flooding. In a statement released on the website of the festival, the company said it came to a decision after inspecting the ground and infrastructure of the park. “It is with deep regret that we inform you that this weekend’s Louder Than Life festival has been canceled due to unsafe conditions resulting from ongoing rain and flooding at the festival site — Champions Park.” the statement said.“ The organizers added, “We will be back next year even bigger and better, and look forward to continuing our relationship with our incredible fans and this great city.”   Louder Than Life was to include headliners such as Nine Inch Nails, Alice In Chains and Godsmack, and in total was expected to have 51 bands playing in three stages. Slash With Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators Release New ‘Driving Rain’ Video

Slash and his bandmates Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators are portrayed as rag dolls in their new video for “Driving Rain.” The song appears on Living the Dream, which was released via Slash’s own label, Snakepit. In the clip, the band’s puppet counterparts perform on a mountain. “The idea behind doing an animated video for ‘Driving Rain’ is mostly due to the dark subject matter of the song influencing directors to come up with very dramatic, dark and sullen regular live action treatments that weren’t any fun at all (no offense to those guys),” Slash said in a statement. “So, I wanted to create something that could be tongue-in-cheek and yet still be dark with live-action animation.” Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators are currently touring North America, which will culminate in Los Angeles, California, on October 16th at The Palladium.. ...Read Full Story

50th Anniversary Edition Of The Beatles’ “White Album” Announced

The 50th anniversary of The Beatles‘ classic 1968 self-titled double LP, commonly known as “The White Album,” will be celebrated with an expanded reissue on November 9th.  27 of the early ‘Esher’ demos and 50 session takes are included in the package, which was mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. Metallica Announces Summer 2019 European Tour With Ghost

Metallica just announced they are extending their “WorldWired” tour well into 2019 with a series of European stops for the summer, with support coming from Ghost and Norway’s Bokassa. “We promised we would be back… it’s the return of the European summer vacation,” exclaimed Metallica in an announcement on their website. Paul Simon Says “Goodbye” During Farewell Hometown Show

Paul Simon concluded his Homeward Bound: The Farewell Tour on Saturday, September 22nd by going home. The show took place in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, in Flushing, Queens, N.Y., just across the Grand Central Parkway from the neighborhood of Forest Hills, where he grew up. “It seems more like fate than coincidence that I should do the final show on this final tour at Flushing Meadows Corona Park,” Simon said, adding … “But this is less a goodbye than a farewell. Panic! at the Disco Remove Guitarist Following Misconduct Allegations

Panic! at the Disco fired guitarist/backing vocalist Kenny Harris for what they called “a personal matter” in an official statement. “Touring musician Kenny Harris will no longer be performing with us because of a personal matter,” they wrote in a tweet. The firing comes after misconduct allegations surfaced on Twitter Thursday (Sept. 20). Dickey Betts Of The Allman Brothers Band In “Critical But Stable” Condition After Fall

Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts is in “critical but stable” condition after slipping and cracking his head in Florida. Betts’ Twitter account says that all of his tour dates have been postponed. The Dickey Betts website says the singer-songwriter has been sedated since the accident Monday evening in Sarasota and also stated that Betts is scheduled to have surgery Friday to relieve swelling in the brain. Dickey’s wife, Donna Betts, said on the website that she and his children are by his side and that the family “appreciates all of your thoughts and prayers during this very trying time.” Last month Betts suffered a “mild stroke” and had to cancel upcoming tour dates.. ...Read Full Story

Imagine Dragons Drop “Zero” From ‘Ralph Breaks The Internet’

Imagine Dragons has released a new lyric video for their song “Zero,” which they wrote and performed for Disney’s second film in the Wreck-It Ralph franchise, Ralph Breaks the Internet. “Zero” will play during the ending credits of the movie, due in theaters Nov. 21. The video is filled with references to 21st century internet culture. In the movie Ralph Breaks the Internet, Ralph struggles with his evolving friendship with Wreck-It Ralph‘s Vanellope. Maroon 5 Set To Perform At 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show

According to Billboard, Maroon 5 will be headlining the Super Bowl LIII Halftime show. Billboard has also learned that while special guest appearances for the performance have not yet been finalized, Cardi B and Travis Scott are on the short list. In a statement, the NFL said, “It’s a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show. We are continuing to work with Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show.” Maroon 5’s recent single “Girls Like You” featuring Cardi B is currently No. 2 on the Hot 100. Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band have announced details for their final tour, dubbed the Travelin’ Man tour. The six-month tour will kick off Nov. 21 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and finish up on May 2, 2019 in Houston. The outing consists of dates rescheduled from last year after Seger underwent spinal surgery, as well as a handful of newly-announced shows. Paul McCartney Earns First No. 1 Album In Over 36 Years On Billboard 200 Chart With ‘Egypt Station’

Paul McCartney new studio effort, Egypt Station, has given him his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart in over 36 years. Released on Sept. 7, Egypt Station will debut at No. 1 on the Sept. 22-dated chart. Of Egypt Station’s 153,000 units, the majority were powered by traditional album sales: 147,000 copies sold. The remainder was comprised of SEA units (5,000) and TEA units (1,000). Egypt Station gives McCartney his eight No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and his first solo album to debut at No. 1. The Jimi Hendrix Experience Announces ‘Electric Ladyland’ 50th Anniversary Box Set

The Jimi Hendrix Experience is commemorating the 50th anniversary of its album Electric Ladyland by reissuing the project as part of a Deluxe Edition box set, to be released on November 9th. In addition to the original double album, the box set includes Electric Ladyland: The Early Takes, which contains demos and studio outtakes from the recording period. John Mellencamp will embark on a 2019 North American tour of ‘The John Mellencamp Show’ which will feature some of his classics plus some new material, set to coincide with Mellencamp’s new album release. Motley Crue may no longer be touring, but the band is still planning to make new with music. Vince Neil just revealed in a new tweet that he’s planning to return to the recording studio in a few weeks to record four brand new Motley Crue songs. Just weeks ago, Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx were spotted together in a studio with producer Bob Rock, with photos and videos showing Lee playing. Stone Temple Pilots To Co-Headline Fall 2018 North American Tour With Seether

Seether and Stone Temple Pilots will be hitting the road together this fall on a co-headlining tour. The tour will launch Oct. 23 in Penticton, British Columbia, will the bands will make stops in Canada and the Northern U.S. Joining in for the run will be Default and Age of Days, with the latter playing select stops. Bob Dylan Will Open The Renovated Met Philadelphia This December

Live Nation and developer Eric Blumenfeld announced on Monday, September 10 that Bob Dylan and his Band will be the first act to play the renovated Met Philadelphia. The 110-year-old venue will reopen on Dec. 3 with Dylan, followed by performances from Weezer and Ween on Dec. 12 and 14, respectively. Weezer’s Dec. 12 show will be the inaugural Citi Sound Concert Series at the venue and will be followed throughout the month by shows from eleven-time Grammy nominee Charlie Wilson and comedian John Oliver who will bring a New Year’s Eve special on Dec. 30 and 31. Three Days Grace just made Billboard history as act with the most No. 1 Mainstream Rock Songs, thanks to their current single “Infra-Red” which is currently topping the charts. They broke a tie with Van Halen, who had held the record for two decades. In addition, “Infra-Red” is also the band’s 15th No. 1 on the Mediabase Active Rock Chart. The band’s run of chart-toppers on the Billboard chart started in Aug. 2004 when “Just Like You” climbed to the top spot and spent four weeks at No. 1. Tenacious D Announce New Album ‘Post-Apocalypto’, Featuring Dave Grohl

Tenacious D will release a new album and animated series later this year, the band have confirmed. The comedy-music duo comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass last released a record in 2012 with ‘Rize Of The Fenix‘. The band have now announced their return with album ‘Post-Apocalypto’, produced by John Spiker and featuring Foo Fighters‘ Dave Grohl on drums. The 21-song album will be released on November 2 and will be available digitally and on CD and translucent green vinyl. The record will be accompanied by a six-part animated series, which will air on Tenacious D’s YouTube channel. Cranberries Singer Dolores O’Riordan’s Cause Of Death Revealed At Inquest

A corner’s inquest concluded Thursday stating that Dolores O’Riordan, late singer of The Cranberries, died by drowning. Inquests are held in Britain to determine the facts in sudden, violent or unexplained deaths. The inquest determined that O’Riordan accidentally drowned in a bathtub after drinking.  At Westminster Coroner’s Court a police officer stated that the pajama-clad O’Riordan was found submerged in her bathtub at a London hotel on the morning of Jan. 15, 2018. The 46-year-old singer didn’t leave a note and there was no evidence of self-harm. Additionally, it was disclosed that five miniature alcohol bottles and a bottle of champagne were found in the room, and toxicology tests revealed a blood alcohol level four times the legal limit for driving. Prescription medications were also found, the inquest heard. Coroner Shirley Radcliffe determined that O’Riordan died from drowning due to alcohol intoxication, stating “there’s no evidence that this was anything other than an accident.” O’Riordan’s inquest was held on what would have been her 47th birthday.. ...Read Full Story

Vinnie Paul Tribute Will Take Place At Louder Than Life And Aftershock Festivals

Drumming legend Vinnie Paul passed away this past June, but his band Hellyeah were scheduled to play the Louder Than Life festival (scheduled for September 28th-30th at Louisville’s Champions Park in Kentucky) as well as the Monster Energy Aftershock (scheduled for October 13th and 14th at Sacramento’s Discovery Parkin in California). Now, promoter Danny Wimmer Presents has announced that tributes to Vinnie Paul will take place at both these festivals. Each festival will include an all-star Vinnie Paul Tribute which will see the musicians playing songs from Paul’s legendary band Pantera, as well as his follow-up band, Damageplan.
