ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons Details New Solo Album Plans

ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons is planning on releasing the follow-up to 2015’s Perfectamundo this year, and hinted that a new Moving Sidewalks album could also appear. He and his backing band the BFGs, featuring Martin Guigui, Mike Flanigan, Alex Garza and Greg Morrow, launched Perfectamundo in 2015, which took on many Cuban influences. Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda Releases ‘Running From My Shadow’ Video

Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda has released a music video for the song “Running From My Shadow”, taken from his upcoming solo album “Post Traumatic” Asked how difficult it was to write the songs for the album, many of which dealt with the death of LINKIN PARK singer Chester Bennington, Shinoda said: “Life was difficult; music was easy. The music made things easier.” Shinoda played his first solo shows since the death of Bennington on May 12 at the KROQ Weenie Roast in Los Angeles and May 13 at the Identity LA festival. Rob Zombie Shares First Look At Captain Spaulding In ‘Three From Hell’

Rob Zombie completed his trio of behind-the-scenes sneak peeks of Three From Hell, his highly-anticipated follow-up to The Devil’s Rejects, by sharing a photo of Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding. The Devil’s Rejects, which is a sequel to Zombie’s debut film House of 1000 Corpses, took a trio of characters from that film and put them on a road trip from Hell, causing chaos and carnage at every stop along the way.Zombie shared the obscured shot of the actor and added the caption, “Another Three From Hell exclusive! Korn’s Jonathan Davis To Debut New Solo Album, “Black Labyrinth” With Telepathy Experiment

Jonathan Davis’ forthcoming debut solo album, Black Labyrinth, was largely inspired by the Ganzfeld Experiment, a form of sensory deprivation used to test psychic abilities (a.k.a. ESP). To celebrate the record’s release, the Korn frontman is giving 20 lucky fans the opportunity to undergo the experiment in Seal Beach, California, on May 25th, and he will be leading the experience himself. Journey And Def Leppard Kick Off Their Co-Headlining Tour

Journey and Def Leppard kicked off their latest joint North American tour at the XL Center in Hartford, CT this week.  The bands last shared a stage in 2006, while Def Leppard were supporting their album Yeah! and Journey were briefly fronted by Jeff Scott Soto. The new tour runs until Oct. 6, and features full sets from both bands as they take turns opening and closing shows. On opening night, Def Leppard went on first, delivering a 16-track set. Bob Seger’s Postponed Tour Will Resume This Fall

After back surgery forced the postponement of his 2017 tour, Bob Seger is ready to to get back on the road, and will making up his missing dates. Seger is scheduled to pick back up on Nov. 24, when he’ll make up his Kansas City date; plans call for the rescheduled shows to continue through early next year, with “more to come” soon. Guns N’ Roses Release Previously Unseen ‘It’s So Easy’ Video

Guns N’ Roses have released a previously unseen video for “It’s So Easy” exclusively on Apple Music. The video was released in anticipation of the June 29 reissue of the band’s debut album, Appetite for Destruction. In the video, we hear singer Axl Rose’s voice telling a crowd, “We’re making this for the home video. Actually that’s wrong, it’ll be on the home video, but what we’re making this for is ourselves. So, like, you know if we made a nice video for MTV, we put it out, we’d sell more records and shit. Paul Simon Kicks Off U.S. Farewell Tour

Paul Simon kicked off the U.S. leg of his Homeward Bound farewell tour this weekend at Seattle’s Key Arena.  Simon performed a mix of his solo work and hits from Simon & Garfunkel, all of which was so well received he returned for three encores, playing a total of 25 songs. Prior to the Seattle show, Simon, 76, began performed on May 16 in Vancouver, B.C.  The tour is set to wrap in New York City on Sept. 22, at a location to be announced. Ghost have released a video for their new track “Dance Macabre,” featuring Kirk Hammett of Metallica, Charlie Benante of Anthrax, former Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo and a range of guests from the worlds of music, wrestling and acting.
