3 Doors Down And Collective Soul Announce ‘Rock & Roll Express’ Tour

3 Doors Down and Collective Soul announced they will be co-headlining the “Rock & Roll Express Tour.”  Additionally, Soul Asylum will be supporting the bands on select dates.  The 36-city North American run will kick off July 6 at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta, Georgia and continue through mid-September, throughout the country.  Tickets for the general public go on sale March 30 at 10AM local time via Live Nation. There is also a Citi cardmembers pre-sale tickets beginning Tuesday, Mar. 27 – Thursday, Mar. 29 through Citi’s Private Pass program. Yes Announce 50th Anniversary North American Tour

Yes will commemorate 50 years since the debut of their first album with a special North American tour. The band announced more than 30 dates across North America that will take place this summer, beginning with two nights at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Ill. on June 5-6, and concluding at Atlanta’s Symphony Hall on July 28. Ringo Starr Announces U.S. Tour Dates

After receiving knighthood from the British royal family last week, Sir Ringo Starr has announced a U.S. tour with his All Star Band. The 20-date tour will take place in September and begins in Tulsa, Oklahoma and ends in Los Angeles. The band will also embark on a previously announced European tour in June and July, and they have a date in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 2. The All Star Band will perform songs from each band member’s respective back catalog. Alongside Starr, the band lineup will consist of vocalist/guitarist Colin Hay (Men at Work), guitarist Steve Lukather (Toto), vocalist/keyboardist Gregg Rolie (Santana, Journey), saxophonist Warren Ham (Toto, Bloodrock), drummer Gregg Bissonette (Toto, Santana) and vocalist/bassist Graham Gouldman (10cc). Gene Simmons Says He Was ‘Wrong’ And ‘Not Informed’ About Cannabis

Gene Simmons said he was “wrong” and “not informed” about cannabis as he began his role as “chief evangelical officer” for Canadian cannabis company Invictus. The announcement of Simmons involvement in the company last week took many fans by surprise, since Simmons had always been outspoken about the use of any form of drugs. “I was wrong and I was not informed,” Simmons told the Toronto Sun in a recent interview. “I’ve been dismissive of cannabis. And I didn’t know much about it. Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander To Make Broadway Debut In ‘Rocktopia’

Robin Zander, lead singer of Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Cheap Trick, will make his Broadway debut in the concert event Rocktopia for the final week of its limited engagement, this April 23 to 29. Rocktopia combines 20th century rock music with classical compositions. The musical program features a fusion of composers like Mozart, Bach and Handel with groups like Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, U2 and many more, all backed by a five-piece rock band, a 40-person choir, a 20-piece orchestra and what’s described as an “elite lineup of vocalists.”  Opening night of Rocktopia is Tuesday, March 27 at the Broadway Theatre. Slash To Record New Album With Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators

Slash has confirmed that he will reconnect with Miles Kennedy and his Conspirators for a third studio album. The five-piece outfit, which also includes drummer Brent Fitz, bassist Todd Kerns and guitarist Frank Sidoris, recently re-entered the studio with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette and they’ve started looking ahead to the fall for the release of their still-untitled third album. Bruce Springsteen Extends Broadway Run With Additional 81 Shows

Bruce Springsteen’s one-man show Springsteen on Broadway has added 81 additional performances, extending his stay at the Walter Kerr Theatre until Dec. 15. The extra dates will begin July 10 with tickets going on sale March 29 at 11 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program. This marks the third extension for Springsteen on Broadway following its initial eight-week run in October. The second leg of the music icon’s New York residency ends on June 30.  Due to high demand, only fans who previously registered for the sale (and have not previously purchased tickets) will be eligible to receive an invitation to the sale. Queens of the Stone Age Release Video For ‘Head Like a Haunted House’

Queens of the Stone Age have released a creepy, animated music video for their song, “Head Like a Haunted House.”  The video—which was directed by Liam Lynch—shows frontman Josh Homme (or his head actually, which is attached to an animated body) in a soundproofed cell, in a bed surrounded by skeletons, at a creepy seance and trapped in any number of other strange scenarios. Queens of the Stone Age released Villains last August and now the band is set to embark on another North American tour. Skid Row Team Up With Corey Taylor And Halestorm For New Album

Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan says that work is continuing on what will be a new studio album. The band have released two United World Rebellion EPs, and Bolan confirmed the third and final installment will now be released as a full-length record. According to Bolan, it will feature some famous collaborations. Bolan said, “We’ve got a lot of really cool songs. It’s the first time in our career we’ve written with people that weren’t just outside guys. We worked with friends like like Corey Taylor and wrote a really cool song – and the cool part is he’s a Skid Row fan, and we’re Stone Sour and Slipknot fans. And then Lzzy and Joe from Halestorm came up with some cool stuff after all the laughter was done.” There’s no word yet on when the as-yet-untitled album will launch.  It will feature frontman ZP Theart who was confirmed as a full-time Skid Row member last year following the 2015 departure of Tony Harnell.. ...Read Full Story
