Smashing Pumpkins Cancel 2020 ‘Rock Invasion 2’ Tour

The Smashing Pumpkins have canceled their Rock Invasion 2 Tour originally scheduled to take place this spring.  The U.S. dates were postponed to October due to the effects of COVID-19, but now the tour has been called off for the year. “It is with heavy hearts that we must announce The Smashing Pumpkins Rock Invasion 2 tour will no longer be taking place,” they confirmed. Surviving Members Of Soundgarden Reunite For Special Release

The surviving members of Soundgarden reunited in the studio last fall for a Record Store Day 2020 EP with Brandi Carlile. Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd and Matt Cameron were on hand to record new versions of the band’s 1994 smash, “Black Hole Sun”, and 1991’s “Searching With My Good Eye Closed”; they’ll be featured alongside Carlile’s own “A Rooster Says,” which will be released on September 26.. ...Read Full Story

Tool Officially Cancels 2020 North American Tour

TOOL has canceled all of their 2020 tour dates, confirming they have no plans to try and reschedule them for the rest of this year or even into 2021. An announcement shared to the band’s Facebook revealed they’ve attempted to determine whether pushing their spring and summer 2020 dates back to the upcoming fall months is possible due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, but it doesn’t seem possible as the live events industry remains on indefinite hiatus for the foreseeable future. Record Store Day Shares New List of Exclusive Releases

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Record Store Day 2020 will look dramatically different this year. Typically a one-day event, this year’s Record Store Day will be spread across three days: Aug. 29, Sept. 26 and Oct. 24. Metallica have just announced the limited edition “Batch 100” installment of their Blackened Whiskey, which also comes with an exclusive pair of vinyl picture discs containing the playlist used during the spirit’s aging process. Nickelback Drummer Daniel Adair Recovering From Surgery
