Neil Young’s Collaboration With Rapper Scheduled for Release

It’s been revealed that the collaboration between rapper DRAM and Neil Young is about to drop shortly. The song, titled “Campfire,” will be part of the soundtrack to Will Smith’s forthcoming Netflix film, Bright.  Young has also lined up a Dec. 1 release for The Visitor, a new full-length album that sees him reuniting with Promise of the Real. Tom Waits, Chrissie Hynde, Alice Cooper, And More On 2018 Songwriters Hall Of Fame Ballot

The nominees for induction into the 2018 Songwriters Hall of Fame have been announced. Nominees include Alice Cooper, Tom Waits, Pretenders’ founder Chrissie Hynde, The Isley Brothers and John Mellencamp. Songwriters become eligible for induction after writing hit songs for at least 20 years. Eligible members of the Songwriters Hall of Fame can vote for three non-performing songwriters and three performing songwriters. Dokken To Record New Album in Early 2018

Singer Don Dokken said at this past weekend’s RockFest 80’s in Pembroke Pines, Florida that Dokken plans to enter the studio in early 2018 to begin recording a new album for a tentative summer release . Nickelback Announce Las Vegas Residency

Nickelback announced they’ll be heading to Las Vegas for a five-show residency next year. The “Feed the Machine” residency kicks off on February 23rd, and will include shows on February 24th, February 27th, March 2nd, and March 3rd.
