A 32-year-old man is in the Cass County Jail awaiting arraignment on charges including armed robbery. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Dollar General store in Vandalia at 6:30 Friday evening for an armed robbery. The suspect implied he had a weapon, and then tried to get a ride from someone after getting money from the clerk. When that person refused to take him away, he ran off and was found at a home on Mulberry Street in Vandalia after being tracked by K9 Faust. The suspect’s name has not been released, and no one was hurt.
