It’s the shake, rattle, and roll as you drive and work to avoid potholes this spring, and one state organization is trying to help if you have car damage.
Once again, the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association, or MITA, is having a Pothole Payback Contest. You can submit a photo of your pothole damage and maybe win money for repairs.
MITA’s Lance Binoniemi says the potholes are popping up everywhere.
“We’re going to see a devastating year this year. We had weather that was detrimental to our roadways, and the new money that has been passed out of the State House and Senate hasn’t fully hit the local units, and those repairs are going to take some years.”
Binoniemi says you can enter the pothole contest at FixMIState.org/PotholePayback.
