Police are trying to find whoever broke in at Jeptha Lake Golf Course and stole about $473 in charity money for a benefit golf outing that was taking place on Saturday. The break-in happened between 2 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the course in Bloomingdale Township. The money was stolen from the main office building and was discovered missing around 9 a.m. The money was meant to help a Grand Junction family with the funeral expenses for their 33-year-old daughter, who had recently died. No suspects have been identified, and investigators urge anyone who knows what happened to call or text the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department.
