Chances aren’t great that we’ll get a really good look at today’s eclipse. Cloud cover in the Lower Peninsula is forecast to be around 70 to 80% according to the National Weather Service, while in the U.P., it’s only going to be around 40-to-50% obscured by clouds. If the clouds break, we’re expected to get about 80% of the eclipse, as totality will be much further south. The next solar eclipse that will be visible throughout all of North America will be in 2024, and this is the first for us since 1979.
