A southwest Michigan man is $100,000 richer this week. Stephen Strickland, of Constantine, matched four of the white balls in the latest Powerball drawing to win that prize. It’s usually a $50,000 win, but with a two times Powerplay, his prize was multiplied by two. Strickland bought his ticket at Jit Food and Gas in Constantine . He says he knew something was off when he scanned his ticket after the drawing and the machine told him to speak to a retailer. He checked online, and learned he was a big $100,000 winner. Strickland picked up his ceremonial check on Monday. It was handed to him by Michigan Lottery Commissioner Aric Nesbitt. The odds of matching four white balls in the Powerball — one in 913,000.
