The Village Market in South Haven is closing. WSJM News first got news of the closure thanks to the pharmacy that operates in the Village Market. Moore Family Pharmacy’s Ryan Moore sent out robocalls to customers this week.
“You may have heard there are some changes in store for Village Market,” Moore says in the recorded message. “Moore Family Pharmacy is not associated with Village Market, and I wanted to call to let you know that we will not be closing.”
Village Market corporate has confirmed to us the Village Market in South Haven is closing. Its final day will be December 9 after the store has served South Haven for more than 40 years. The chain tells us “as many associates as possible” could be relocated to the Village Market XPress and other locations. The Village Market was the last locally-owned supermarket in South Haven.
