Work will start next Monday on a resurfacing project on M-51 in Berrien and Cass counties. The Michigan Department of Transportation will be working on 11.4 miles of the highway between Peavine and 9th streets. Along with resurfacing the road, crews will also be doing joint repairs, concrete curb and gutter replacement, and upgrading sidewalks and sidewalk ramps. The $3.4 million project is scheduled to go from May 11 until July 24. MDOT says there will be single-lane closures during the work.
