State Releases Saturday COVID-19 Totals

Michigan is reporting 425 additional cases of COVID-19 around the state for Saturday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says the statewide total since the start of the pandemic is now 50,504. There are 55 additional COVID-19 deaths to report for Saturday, bringing that total up to 4,880. 28,234 patients have recovered statewide.

Locally, the Berrien County Health Department reports 15 new cases of coronavirus for the day, bringing the county’s total cases up to 500. Berrien County has had a total of 28 COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic. The health department says 315  patients have recovered from the illness. Cass County is reporting three new cases for Saturday, making the county’s total 53 with two deaths. Van Buren County is reporting four new cases of COVID-19 for Friday, with its total at 110 cases and five deaths.
