Berrien County Administrator Bill Wolf has been given a positive send off by the Berrien County Board of Commissioners. At a Thursday meeting, Chair Mac Elliot read a resolution honoring Wolf for his 15 years as admin.
“Now therefore be it hereby resolved that the Berrien County Board of Commissioners recognizes William A. Wolf for his dedicated, endless service to Berrien County, thanks him for his efforts to prepare Berrien County for future generations, and wishes him a retirement full of happiness an good health,” Elliott read.
Wolf retires this month. Commissioners thanked him for his work and praised the many developments Berrien County has seen with Wolf at the helm. Commissioner Jon Hinkelman said accomplishments include the new animal shelter, the consolidation of several health department buildings, and new parks. Wolf said he’s worked in public service for about 50 years, and it’s been well worth it.
“This truly is a job that I’ll look back with forever with tremendous fondness, whatever the future may hold for me and Bonny,” Wolf said. “Thank you very, very much.”
Prior to being Berrien County Administrator, Wolf had served as the county treasurer, the mayor of Benton Harbor, and as a city commissioner in Benton Harbor. County commissioners applauded him as the resolution in his honor was approved unanimously.
