The Berrien County Board of Commissioners will continue to hold virtual meetings as more parts of Michigan reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic. In a statement on Wednesday, the county says while the governor has relaxed some of the restrictions on movement and workplaces, “what remains is the requirement that businesses, operations and government agencies adhere to sound social distancing practices and additional measures.” It says an order from the governor limits the number of people in a meeting to ten people, and the county board cannot hold a meeting in public and fall within that limit. Therefore, the online meetings will continue. They’re streamed on YouTube with most meetings starting at 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays. You can go to YouTube, and search for the account named “Berrien County, Michigan.”
