Congressman Tim Walberg is officially running for reelection.

Walberg has turned in the maximum number of petition signatures to secure a spot on the ballot in November.

According to the Michigan Secretary of State’s office, no other candidate has filed for Michigan’s Fifth District as of Wednesday morning. The deadline to file is April 23.

Walberg signed an affidavit with the Jackson County Clerk this week when filing his petitions.

A representative from his office, Mike Rorke, says, “Representative Walberg has continued to effectively represent southern Michigan, delivering results by passing legislation to protect parents’ rights, better secure energy infrastructure, lower the cost of health care, and block President Biden’s de facto EV mandate.”
