Whirlpool is reportedly planning to layoff about 1,000 salaried workers globally.

The company has not said where, but news agency Reuters is reporting the information following Whirlpool’s First Quarter report this week.

The first round of layoffs was in March with more coming by early May. The company is seeking to save up to $400 million in costs this year.

Whirlpool had about 59,000 employees globally as of last year, according to its annual filing. It also reported a 3.4% drop in its first-quarter net sales to $4.49 billion on Wednesday.
